About the Author

A Londoner, Philip Goff has been a clergyman for twenty five years, spending ten of them as a parish priest in Wembley and seven as a counsellor in General Practice, in South London. His interest in academic costume began when he was ten and was revived in recent years as the antidote to more serious matters.

Philip is currently the Parish Priest of St Augustine of Canterbury, Highgate and Academic Consultant to the robemaker, Ede and Ravenscroft. He is also a member of Council and former Chairman of the Burgon Society.
